DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

1. Always make sure that the ignition switch is in the OFF position

2. The battery's ground cable must be removed before the positive cable. Wait for at least 1 minute after disconnecting the battery before beginning any work on the airbag system. Otherwise the airbag may be deployed unintentionally and this can cause fatal/severe personal injuries.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

For a seatbelt tensioner deployment:
• Front seatbelts with seatbelt tensioner
• Rear seatbelts in use when the collision occurred together with the seat-belt buckle
• Control module (Can be used a maximum of three times for activating a seatbelt tensioner)

For a front airbag deployment:
• Steering wheel, airbag and steering column assembly, if driver airbag deployed
• Coil spring (contact roller) [Clockspring]
• Control module
• Front seatbelts with seatbelt tensioners
• Rear seatbelts in use when the collision occurred together with the seat-belt buckle
• Passenger side airbag (if fitted) as well as dashboard, if deployed

WARNING
Change all the seat belts if it cannot be determined with certainty which belts were in use when the collision occurred.

The seat belt on the passenger side must always be changed, even if it has not been used. This is because the seat belt-tensioner has been triggered.

For a side airbag deployment:
• Control module
• Side impact sensor and side airbag and back upholstery bag
• Front seatbelts with seatbelt tensioners
• Rear seatbelts that were in use when the collision occurred together with the seat-belt buckle
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check

• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check

For a front airbag deployment:
• Knee shield
• SRS wiring harness
• Windscreen
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check
