2015 Ford F-150 Repair Information

The Instruction Sheets aren't the only resource that Ford has made available for repairing the 2015-2020 Ford F-150. Ford also has repair information in the Body and Paint section of the Workshop Manual. Here's why it's helpful to reference both the Instruction Sheets and Workshop Manual.

For the most part, the Instruction Sheets and Workshop Manual compliment each other. The Workshop Manual provides more images and explanation for the repair process, while the Instruction Sheets provide some of the specific details.

Let's take a look at a procedure to show you what we mean. When you are in the roof panel procedure, the Workshop Manual tells you to go to the Instruction Sheet for "technical details including, but not limited to, fastener and adhesive information". That is because the Workshop Manual identifies the types of rivets that should be installed, but you need the Instruction Sheet for the exact number of rivets, and part numbers for those rivets. The roof procedure in the Workshop Manual has links to general information and other repair procedures for parts that require removal for access like the fixed glass, headliner, and side curtain airbags. It identifies a method for removing the laser welds, and how to place an index mark on the roof for alignment prior to applying the adhesive. This type of information is not included in the Instruction Sheet. The Workshop Manual procedure is 16 pages, while the Instruction Sheet is much shorter at 5 pages. The Workshop Manual includes over two dozen detailed images with color-coded callouts to identify the areas being discussed, compared to the Instruction Sheet which has a few simple line art drawings with callouts.

There are many procedures that have both an Instruction Sheet and information in the Workshop Manual. However, there are some procedures that only have an Instruction Sheet, like the radiator core support. There are other procedures that are only in the Workshop Manual, like the outer T-joint B-pillar sectioning procedure located below the roof rail.

For access to the 2015 Ford F-150 Workshop Manual go to Ford's pay site at www.motorcraftservice.com. The 2015 Ford F-150 Instruction Sheets are available with the replacement part or on the Ford page of the RTS website.
